SeaGrass Concert Series: Dauphin Island

Heading down to Dauphin Island for the SeaGrass Concert this weekend? Here’s what you need to know:

The SeaGrass Concert Series is featuring an “all-Americana” day of music including Alabama native Jason Isbell, Marc Broussard, Amanda Shires, Lisa Mills and Ryan Balthrop. This year’s concert will be held at the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo site which offers ample festival seating space and unobstructed waterfront views from the “Official Sunset Capital of Alabama.” Gates open at noon on Saturday, August 30th.

SeaGrass Concert Series Line Up is as follows:

Lisa Mills - 12:25 PM
Ryan Balthrop – 2:15 PM
Marc Broussard – 4:15 PM
Amanda Shires – 6:15 PM
Jason Isbell – 7:30 PM

Parking is available in front of the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo site and just down the street at Green Park. There is no additional cost for parking.

The SeaGrass Concert Series is festival style general admission, family friendly (children 9 and under, admitted free) and re-entry is with an armband only. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at each show and no outside food or beverages.

Mobile’s, OK Bicycle Shop will be offering a variety of specialty tacos. Both alcohol and non-alcohol drinks are available on site as well. A full menu including prices is below.

SeaGrass Concert tickets are $40 per person and are available online at http://seagrassconcert.eventbrite.com/and at ACP Real Estate or any of “The First” bank locations in Mobile County. Tickets will also be available at the gates.

Don’t let the weatherman deter you from enjoying this Labor Day Weekend. Come down and enjoy all Dauphin Island has to offer including the beach, shops, Estuarium and Fort Gaines.

Grilled Fish Taco - $5 Grilled Fish served with cabbage and crema.

Shrimp Taco - $5 Grilled Gulf Shrimp served with mango salsa, cabbage and cilantro-lime vinaigrette.

Chicken Taco - $4 Marinated chicken served with spinach and roja salsa.

Chorizo Taco - $4 Grilled Chorizo link sausage served with fennel salad and achiote mustard.

Chips with Queso Fundido Cheese Sauce - $4 served with jalapenos.
