South Mobile County Tourism Authority (SOMO) is proud to announce that they will be hosting the Arts in the Park Nature Fest on June 7, 2014 under the oaks in historic Cadillac Square on beautiful Dauphin Island, Alabama from 9am-4pm. This FREE event will feature fine artists craftsmen from around the Southeast as well as exciting nature exhibits, programs and events. The picturesque park will be filled with unique art and hands on animal exhibits and nature/environmental presentations/exhibits.

More than fifty artists and craftsmen attending will be displaying pottery, jewelry, painting, woodcarving, sculpturing, metal ironworks, furniture and more. There will be hot glass and painting demonstrations as well. Featured artist, Steve Garst from Blue Ridge, Alabama, who designed the image used in this year’s poster, will be on hand to sign copies.

Other activities include demonstrations, displays and hands on opportunities by The Environmental Studies Center in Mobile, Mobile Bay Canoe and Kayak Club, Paddle Bayou La Batre, Eastern Shore Fly Fishers, Certified and Master Casting Instructors, Weeks Bay Reserve, Alabama Department of Conservation & Natural Resources, US Fish & Wildlife, Alabama Marine Resources, Share the Beach, Blu Revival Surf Shop, Dauphin Island Bird Sanctuaries, Dauphin Island Park & Beach Board and more….
