On September 15th & 16th, Historic Fort Gaines and the 6th Alabama Calvary Bucaneers will host the 2nd Annual Massacre Island Pirate Event.

The event will highlight Flintlock Pistol Duel, Pirate Tug of War, Swashbuckling Sword Play, Cannon Firing, Blacksmithing and music by the Kracker Dan Band.

Treasure Hunt for the kids 12 and under.

Fort Gaines is open 9:00 am to 5:00pm daily.

Adult tickets (ages 13 and up) $8.00

Children tickets (5-12) $4.00

Children 4 and under are FREE

More About Massacre Island:

In 1711 the Pirates stormed Mobile Bay and attacked the Island that was once called Massacre Island, because of a huge pile of human skeletons that was discovered by Pierre Le Moyne. Come and see the Pirates as they pilfer and pillage Isle Dauphine and fight against Spanish and British Galleons. Who knows, you may even find a pirate’s treasure.
